1976 FMF Team Replica

My first race bike!

My step father purchased this for me at the track. We bought the frame for 30.00 then slowly built it. Me and my little brother both used to race in Miami Florida. I was number 54 racing the FMF & he was number 45 racing the Mongoose.
If I remember correctly Bars were Race Inc. forks were Tange? rims-area, hubs shimano, could not afford bullseye, but always wanted them smile Cranks 3 piece sugino? kkt lightning pedals, the seat clamp, post, was nothing special. Tires not sure but I remember comp II & comp III.. not sure if that came later. I raced the bike for 5 years. Won frequently. Never went to the Nationals, but used to get this ABA magazine that listed races & winners. I think ABA was just starting at the time.

Way cool, +1000 on the old photos.  That is so nice to see.  It takes you right back in place and time.  I think I only have one or two pics of BMX fun from my youth.  Great to see that, thanks for sharing.

Great pics. Great bike. Love that Rampar jersey. My friends all had those jerseys because the local bike shop was Westchester Wheels, a Raliegh shop.
