Re: 1977 Huffy Thunder Road
That was my first bike! I learned to ride one of these. I still remember the day the training wheels came off. I learned how to bunny hop and jump on my Thunder Road too!

Man I wanted one of those so bad. But I ended up with a cheaper Huffy. I mean was there really a cheaper one. Ya like $10 cheaper. The kid next door ended up with it. Then he got a pro lightning. The one with the good parts on it. I saved it out of the trash. Used all the parts on my scrambler

Re: 1977 Huffy Thunder Road
I have a 76 Thunder Star. It was sort of an 'Evil Knievel' version of the Thunder Road in white with chrome bars. It's currently stored away at a friends garage, but will get a restoration soon. I'll try to find some old pictures.
Check out this thread on this site: 1973? JC Penny BMX
It features a JC Penney branded Huffy in white. It's basically the same as my Thunder Star with a different seat and plastic gas tank.
Here is a picture of a Thunder Road '54' I found(not mine) and an old Huffy Ad.

My buddy has one, nearly mint, hanging in his garage.
