1988 Haro Master

1988 Haro Master Restoration

This is my first restoration project. I have managed to pick up a rusty but almost totally original 88 master and slowly rebuild it. I even have the original manual and sales and purchase docket. These bikes where very rare in New Zealand,. I reckon only about 10-15 ever came here. I have repainted the bike and changed the seat, stem to a haro team goose neck and fitted knee-savers. I think the bike is let down by the tyres and would apprecate some direction on the best tyres to get. I have attached pictures of my mate and I on our masters back in 1989 (my friend has the team model) and before and after pics of my current project. Considering it was mostly original, the bike has cost moon-beams to restore. I think next time I'll just buy an AJK bike! (but that would take away all the fun)

Re: 1988 Haro Master

I am also rebuilding a 88,she sat outside for over a decade so needless to say I have alot of work ahead of me.
Very nice ride, makes it even better knowing you have one of only a few in New Zealand.
