1987 GT Pro Performer

1987 GT Pro Performer

Mostly original 87 Pro Performer I turned into a rider.

Got this little baby last week off of eBay at a great price IMO. All original except for tires, brake cables, pedals and grips. Still need to get a few things for her. I'd love to keep it as an old school rider. But I don't know if I want to get it repainted or not. And if I do get it painted, I don't know if I would want to keep it GT blue or go with Day-Glo Pink. Any suggestions?
UPDATED: It’s not O.G. anymore. I wanted an old school rider and my 87 Sport wasn’t working out (My old Sport. Not the one I have in the museum now.). I changed out the drivetrain, wheels and tires.

The black w/blue wall tires are Kenda Kontacts. Just threw those on so it would be ridable.

Nice ride!  I'm from south LA also.  What's the old school market like in the N.O. area?  Ever score any goodies?

I guess y'all are right. But damn . . . this thing would look awesome redone! I'll probably keep it as a rider for awhile then redo it. I've already bought some NOS parts for it and I just can't see putting NOS parts on a rider. I still need to break her down and give her a good cleaning.

87fc, the email form link doesn't seem to be working correctly. Shoot me an email chrisomay@cox.net

Re: 1987 GT Pro Performer

I've always been looking for a blue one.. I love that 87 blue.
You're lucky.

I am working on a Pink Freestyle tour. and I ended up with an extra Pink Seatpost, bars and fork. I wish I had an extra frame - I'd just trade ya pink for the blue.. haha..

oh well.

Great Bike.
