1978 Patterson Anderson Avalanche
1978 Patterson Anderson Avalanche
Finally found it ! late 70's Patt. it's not the one I had but it's close.
I just picked this up , after missing out on a few 82's (which is what I am still in search of) I came across this one, I believe it to be pre 79-80, great condition, no dents or dings, some minor rusty spots. The top tube is 18.5 , I originally had this measured as a 17" I had somethin in my corn flakes !! but it will look great hanging in my shop. Any info on this one ? I probably need it !

Is that a euro BB? I thought that was one of the traits of the av...
Any patto is sick. Feels good to have I bet. Love mine. If you have a hard time with patto forks, use redlines...

Re: 1978 Patterson Anderson Avalanche
It's a Pro/Brent Patterson model not an AA. Euro BB is standard on the AA. Also not 1978, that's when Patterson offered the Sentry. it would have been made between 1979 and early-1981ish.
Def. run Redline, Cook Bros. or Speed forks on it. That's the way it was done BITD. Patterson forks came later in 1982.
What's the SN?

Re: 1978 Patterson Anderson Avalanche
I believe there were four Patterson models offered in nickel. The mini, the Avalanche, the Brent Patterson (Pro), and the Long. My long's serial number is predicated with an "L" for long and the top tube measures 19.5". But this is just a theory. I'm guessing 00822 would be a Pro.
