Came apart pretty easy. Held the body on a vice with a towel around it and loosened the main bolt allmost all the way then tapped on it to get the shaft out. It was way easier than I thought it would be.

Re: 1984 GT Pro Performer

pretty nice GT you have there, I like them with spokes. but curious why you went spokes and not mags.?? I know the 84 seat and tires are stupid hard to find, well Ive seen seats pop up here and there but never the tires....the closest thing to the seat would be the early shotgunII, almost the same mold...

in 84 the seats were ariake jaguar II seats and there was another generic mold of them also..   sometime for 85 gt switched to the velo dyna.. and then the shinko's, 84's had "GT BMX" between the wings, and 85+ they had just "GT" between the wings..

Re: 1984 GT Pro Performer

Well this is the seat I need and I missed it by minutes about 2 months ago for $30 bucks. 85-86 was the big gt bmx on the nose then 87-92 the freestyle bikes were using the winged gt seat the bmx bikes stopped in 89 with the winged gt seat.

Well I have a couple other bikes with mags & I had this rim set laying around taking up space so I decided to get them fully redone and use them smile
