1983 Redline MX-II

Restored Redline classic

My first FULL restoration project (Thanks Lou for the paint, polish and pedals). Og chrome was pretty tired, so I opted for my first paintjob. The cranks were original to the bike but i had them polished up all bling-like of course. The DX pedals were cleaned up and painted w/ fresh endcaps.
The wheels were quite a project, 3 cycles of bleaching, a long wait for extra long red alloy nipples, a lot of masking for the z-rim stencils and of course lacing them to the Bullseyes. Then wrapped 'em up in some NOS cheng shins.
Full '83 dated cables, brakes and levers. And I dig the Kashimax padded seat. The padset is a repop. Still need a headbadge,

Incredible build.

The color combo makes it look beautiful but tuff at the same time.

Re: 1983 Redline MX-II

i see lots of this era/color redline with ALL red and white parts, when i decided on white for the frame I told myself Id bring in black as a 3rd party color to mix it up.... I love how it turned out
