1984 Norco Spitfire Turbo
1984 Norco Spitfire Turbo
Original High End Norco BMX
This is a BMX that I purchased used in bad condition , a lot of the original parts had been replaced . The only original parts left on this bicycle are the frame , forks , headset , cranks , pedals , seatclamp , seatpost , that's it sadly ! I used this bicycle for quite a while after cleaning it up and fixing it , it used to have Mongoose 3 spoke mags (see 4th pic , before complete restoration , still ghetto styles ) before I found some Araya aluminum wheels in excellent shape . Tried to keep mostly original BMX parts but blue anodized NOS BMX components are getting hard to find these days ! lDid what I could with what was available , used a anodized gold Shimano Tourney Rear BMX brake on it , doesn't match perfectly but sometimes it's good enough . for After owning this bike for 2 years I kind of got bored of it .. Now my best friends younger sister has it and she is enjoying it a lot !
I collect/hoard/fix/buy/sell BMX bikes , vintage road bikes , cruisers , mtb , bikes in general ....
Also do the same with old school chevys and classic cars/trucks

Re: 1984 Norco Spitfire Turbo
I had a 84 Norco Spitfire straight off the showroom floor in 84. In 85 my friend got the chrome frame Turbo with everything else in red brand-new. Both from the same shop in longueuil, que.
Looking for 85-86 Rl 20 II frame in rider condition. Elina flyte tech eat in white used rider condition.

Re: 1984 Norco Spitfire Turbo
You've done what you can with what's available is right! It seems the old school scene hit the Aussies and Brits harder than us up here in the white north ( just my opinion when we look at what's coming out of those places for parts like on the bay for example ). Old school stuff is thin on the ground here, you gotta take what you can, eh? Try kijiji in Ontario locations, some sellers might even ship to you.
I like the Norco, a true Canuck, right?

Re: 1984 Norco Spitfire Turbo
If mine looked that good I would have kept it. Norco pro bars and a kashimax seat would pull everything together.
