Full white Mag RESTORATION - with new brake rub tip

dont want to bleach your mags and wait all that time, this mag was done (both sides) in about 25-30 minutes

here are my weapons:
-soft scrub
-scrub brush
-tooth brush (for tight areas)
-scotch brite (the non metal ones)
-razor blade
http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4681/001za.jpg

Dirty OGK GT Performer mag with plenty of brake rub
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/5034/002is.jpg

put soft scrub on one of the scotch brite pads...again these are the plastic ones not metal, then procede to scrub the hell out of the mag rinsing with hot water, alternate the scrub brush too if you wish....may take a few rounds
http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/3570/003pgf.jpg

be sure to use the tooth brush loaded with soft scrub for the tight areas the other scrubbers cant get to, then rinse thoroughly

http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/4537/005xu.jpg

now here is the quick fix to those harsh brake rub marks....screw sanding!!! take a razor blade at a 90 degree angle and just scrape back and forth, it gets rid of the brake rub extremely quick! fastest answer i have found

http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/3189/008hc.jpg

havent tried it on colored mags yet, but once i get a set with brake rub i will do it for sure and update this smile

Re: Full white Mag RESTORATION - with new brake rub tip

nice

One thing that I have seen over and over on the BMXmuseum is members willing to tarnish the reputation of another member by leaving nasty feedback before trying to resolve a problem like a reasonable human being.

In my 6 plus years as a staff member , this pisses me off almost as much as a scammer.

Re: Full white Mag RESTORATION - with new brake rub tip

Great Work. I have a set of skyway OE's I've done that to, but one is almost tan....gotta bleach them. I did the razor blade trick w/ my OGK's. Works like a charm.
