Took my bike out for a premature spin.......

It was a nice day and I thought to myself "I never tried pumping the tire on my bike, I wonder if they hold air" And i grabbed my Bell air pump and went outside, to my surprise they held air, i had soo much fun no curb was unjumped and no hill was unriden down, I had a blast. Some guy gave me some WD-40 for the chain and then the freewheel started working lol. He offered me 25 bucks for the bike, I laughed said thank you and rode off. I just thought I'd share my day with everyone big_smile

cool! Watch that WD-40 on the chain, it is notorious for attracting dirt and will cause your chain, freewheel and chainring to wear from excess dirt and grime. It is more of a "cleaner" than a lubricant.

Get some degreaser on that chain (remove and soak) then let it dry then apply some actual chain lube.

What kind of bike?

Re: Took my bike out for a premature spin.......

Haha, true

The dude at the bike store has a new old stock GT sprocket so i'm happy, basically all those rusty parts (sprocket, cranks) will be gone, and only minute rust will be left, i got most of it off the bike already to the point where it's good enough, the brakes don't work well though, had to learn that the hard way.
