Re: {{Drill Your Frame}}

Nope I haven't done it, are you?

I'll be taking in donations for this coming 2010 Christmas giveaway, sometime around the month of October for my "Bikes-4-Kids" program. http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=175828
Pm me for my mailing address, if interested.

Im looking for any BMXproducts made Rampar R11/R11-xl frame or F&F (in nickle). Looking for a MotoTrac Frame or F&F combo (in nickle), and a Racer-x Frame or F&F with the double gussets(not the single)and an early 80's Ammaco F&F.
Thanks.  I'm also johnng23604 over at  http://www.retro-goose.com/

Re: {{Drill Your Frame}}

10mm, Dirty??  That is HUGE by bicycle brake standards.  You know I am old school, and I don't EVER remember of anything like that.  Of course, the newest thing I've got is '83, so maybe that came out after I was done. neutral

Re: {{Drill Your Frame}}

Did it to my forks. before the ACS BOAs came out, we used to use 3/8" axles.

Re: {{Drill Your Frame}}

Dirty Habits, I switched out the guts with the old style small-bolt.  It's a pain in the ass but it will keep you from drilling...forks don't seem that crucial but it could be baaaaad news if you try it on the rear, unless your brake stay has enough meat.

I take it back.  No more 20" after the Porkchop buildoff.

lul I have none.  There was a pair of em on the bay, dunno if they sold.  If you go that route, definitely run some of those brake stoppers.

Re: {{Drill Your Frame}}

I don't know if they have a proper part name...they're those little L-clips that rest against the stays and/or fork arms.

i dont really get the point of having a 3/8ths axle for a brake bolt. i guess its less flex, but does flex really bother anyone?
