1985 Chrome Haro Master help!?
Hey Guys, Awhile back I purchased a 1985 Green Master from Phillyphil with hopes of making it as OG as I could or similar to the green one I had as a kid.
As you all knew and I soon found out it's not easy, I found a survivor 85 Blue Sport I was going to cheat a bit on the color scheme for now and use blue & silver parts.
A week ago a real nice 85 Chrome Master package showed up with some real rare parts but I can't find where to look for original color schemes and pictures as well as components used.
I don't think the sticker color is correct the freestyler on the downube is in green but I want to decide if I want to keep hunting and go all OG or do what many on here do just make a really sweet piece with old school parts.
PLEASE NOTE: I will be riding this and my green one obviously not like I would have in 85-86 but it's fun to ride hem around with my son, and the excersize won't hurt my 37yo bones...
I will post my pics so people can see what I have and give there ideas of what and where I should go pending the $$$'s
Thanks in advance,

Re: 1985 Chrome Haro Master help!?
The chrome and green Masters used the same parts.. All blue.. brakes, levers, cables, seatpost clamp, chainring. Both had a silver stem and chrome bars and chrome seatpost. White mags, black tires. The seat was white on the green bike but not sure about the chrome bike. As for the sticker color.. The early '85s had 'freestyler' in red while the later '85s had green.

Well, I think you know the chrome one I bought? so you would no if the stickers were correct?
I did not realize that all the green ones had chrome bars, I thought they had green to match the f&f.
And I thought some had spoked wheels.
Do you know any places to get pics of the factory ones??
Thanks for the help, do you mind a ? here and there pm'd to you.

No problem.. My green bike is built to spec. All of the '85s had chrome bars from the factory.. The '86 bikes went to color matched bars. The spoked wheels became an option in '87 where you could get either tuff 2s or Peregrine 48s. The harofreestyler.com site is a great reference, but its currently down as the new owner moves it to a new server.

Re: 1985 Chrome Haro Master help!?
Thanks, I guess the chrome bars from my Sport will stay at home on the green Master and I'll sell the green ones or keep em for fresh chrome?
I found a crazy deal on the bay for some new Tuff II's awhile back and I grabbed them. I know they are not correct era but the look will work for now on the green one, It kills me to see my f&f's just sit naked so I try to dress them a bit. Your green one looks SWEET!!
Thanks, Mark
