Failure Bikes...

Anyone here into Failure bikes? I just picked up an Amuerte frame and I can't wait to build it with a fresh set of Immortis bars, flip-flop Tuff Wheels and an assortment of semi-heavy bulletproof parts!

I'm sure I would hate flip flop tuffs while listening to Slayer.  I would still like however for Faust to sell me that particular set of Skyways.  Failure seems ver goot

I've never had a Failure frame but they look like good quality bikes.

Re: Failure Bikes...

Make yer own.  2 "freewheel conversion" kits and you got a flip flop.  You just can't get the 13t on one side.

Re: Failure Bikes...

It's pretty easy nowadays to build a 22 pound park bike. It ain't cheap, but it's easy to do with Ti spindles, spokes, drivers, axles, etc.

Anyone catch The Beard on L.A. Ink last year?

AJ

but what good would it be without the 13t?

I run the flip flop tuffs for the purpose of being able to downsize to the 36/13 gearing, which is smaller than 44/16 but still has enough clearance for the chainstay mounted 990...

I'm not worried about the 3/8" rear axle...  I use adapter chain tensioners and I don't run pegs on the back of anything with a really short chainstay since my feet hit them when I pedal... big guys with big feet need longer frames than that...
