1984 GT Pro

Replica of my race bike that was stolen back in 86

Frame = 1984 GT Pro #10840250
Fork = 1983 Pro
Headset = GT Epoch
Rims = Mongoose Pro Class
Hubs = First Gen Crupi Sealed (Used these instead of the stock Suzue looseballs that came on the rims)
Tires = Michelin Hi-Lites 20x1.5
Cranks = Redline Flight 401 180mm
Sprocket = Redline Flight 43t
Chain = Izumi
Stem = DK Pro
Bars = Powerlite Pro
Grips = AME Tris
Brakes = Dia Compe MX 901 w/ Tech 4 lever
Seat = Uni Turbo
Seat Clamp = Tuf Neck
Number plate = Zeronine Moto Control
Needing a set of Suntour XCII pedals, red and white Huntington Beach GT padset and some Oakley B2s, all NOS or comparable, to have her completely finished and identical to one I had stolen bitd. The number plate on the stolen bike was given to me by Ritchey Anderson at Gilley's national in 85 and had his signature on the backside and is identical to the one shown. Now if I can only get him to sign this one smile

Re: 1984 GT Pro

tried to pm this to you but your inbox is full
man thats a beauty! some advice. you can get great reproduction pads on ebay for $60 they are licensed and made by a guy who bought the rights to make them. when you get xc II's make sure the person selling them to you has allready taken out all the cage bolts. they are notorious for not coming out and for the bolts and holes in the bodies stripping when you take them appart to restore them.

Re: 1984 GT Pro

I've cleared out my inbox some. I hate deleting stuff in there because I have to look through there and see who I've bought and sold stuff from.

As for the pads and pedals, I've actually had about 4 sets of XCIIs recently but either the cages weren't up to my standards or I needed to sell them to acquire other parts. Those pedals come around all the time. An NOS red uni turbo does not! smile

Nor do the pads I'm looking for. I actually had a set of those too but they weren't in the best shape. These are the one's I'm needing:

Again, NOS or as close as possible. I had been waiting for nearly 2 years for a set of those pads to pop up and I was just disgusted at the condition of them when I finally did. Since most of the bike was built with NOS parts, I cant force myself to put some ratty old pads on it. hmm

thanks for the comments guys. This is a very special bike to me. I was crushed when it got stolen bitd and still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. I don't think I have ever gotten over it. lol

Re: 1984 GT Pro

Naw this wont be ridden much. Try finding a set of those tires in any condition, much less NOS. I have an 83 pro as a rider. It will eventually become a replica of the bike I built up to replace this one after it was stolen. I have several replicas of my past bikes in the works, such as an 83 GT pro with redline 400s, 84 Skyway TA with graphites, and a 80 mongoose. slowly but surely they are coming along.
