Re: New Features for site, who wants what?

Bring back the bump! smile Bump button that can only be used twice in 24 hours?
Dibs button would be cool too
Live chat would be awesome ... but I fear it would be mass chaos on a site this size.
Make the Bad Gateway timeout issue go away!

Re: New Features for site, who wants what?

Well like we already discussed I would like for it to be easier to leave feedback. Its very difficult to leave feedback because you have to find the member you want then go into their posts and then leave feedback. Its unnecessarily difficult. If we could just go to the member`s profile and have a button for leaving feedback there it would help.
Maybe even have a neutral feedback catagory?
Does everyone here realize that you can post pics in the feedback section? Just copy and paste like in the forums.
I would like to see people put more thought into their feedback and include pics. This would be especially helpful when leaving negative feedback for things like bad packaging. Show us exactly what was good or bad about the deal. That way future buyers can decide for themselves rather than going by vague descriptions. Maybe this could be a sticky? Not exactly sure of the best fix but I think there is a lot of room for improvement in the feedback area.

Can we make it mandatory for members to put a city and state on their profiles? I like to know where the person I am talking to is located.

Re: New Features for site, who wants what?

I agree that it needs to be easier to leave feedback - I have explained the process to people a lot it seems.
Also if someone with less than 20 posts is allowed to buy my stuff why aren't they allowed to leave me feedback?
If everyone I have dealt with had left me feedback here I would have over 200 by now for sure...

I have a idea why not have the sales forum in categories
like (handlebars) (cranks) (frames) (misc) etc I think that would really help with
buyers locating what there looking for

Unfortunately guys, spell check can't fix the fact that many have basic grammar problems.  I am no English teacher, and hated the subject in school, but DAMN!!!

we had talked about putting a single wheel swap area together before.
it would find a place in this idea.

Re: New Features for site, who wants what?

Nate is already in the works for an entire new for sale section.

putting in a bump button would just slow this site down even more.

you guys already use another site for chat, what would happen to that site if this site had chat...

Re: New Features for site, who wants what?

I think the worst part about the sales/search process is, you type in a search term, and you then have to wade through perhaps dozens of photos, and perhaps scroll to top or bottom to find price. And when searching for say a tuf neck stem, you end up with tuf neck seat clamps. And then you have to wade through responses to find dibs/sold. Although the seller needs to be able to list multiple items, they need to somehow need to be displayed as unique items that can easily be viewed as active or sold. So, categorization of some sort.

Seller needs to be able to clearly (easily) mark items sold, and it's standardized, so it's easy for the user searcher to know.

Also, how about e-mail notification when someone posts an item for sale you're looking for? With that categorization, could be done.
