Hutch Help

I bought what appears to be a Hutch Pro racer. There is no serial number on the frame and the fork is not drilled for brakes. I measured the top tuube at 18.5 inches. Anyone know what this is for sure??

Thanks

Re: Hutch Help

Pics would help. it sounds a little short for a Pro Racer.  most were 19 1/4" to 19 1/2" long top tube. could be an expert

I'll buy your museum bike for $50 or less- just PM me if we don't have a deal ok?

Re: Hutch Help

Thanks
I am still confused. The Hutch measures a little less then 18.5 top tube. It has no serial number and un drilled forks. It had pro racer stickers on it. I removed them. I most likely will be selling or trading this bike once I discover what it is. I have two. I'll try to post pics this week.

Re: Hutch Help

18.5 or less would be an expert, an early one at that with undrilled forks and no s/n on the dropouts. Pics please!

Old bikes need love too, get them off the carpet and ride!

Re: Hutch Help

Just a thought, since you are new.....How are you measuring the top tube?  Should be from the center of the seatpost tube to the center of the head tube...not from the edges...not sure if that helped, but, sometimes it is 'that simple'....BTW, welcome to the museum, Ivan.

I'm too old for what????

Re: Hutch Help

Thanks
That is how I was measuring. I actually came up with 18 1/4. I think it's an expert racer.  I will post pics when I have time. This place is really awesome. I was out of BMX for 25 years....now I'm back.
