Re: 2006 Felt Sector 24"
Its really easy. Do your base coat first. bright colors work best, in my case it was white. Its easier if you have a swivle repaire stand. if not hold the frame by the seat tube. Common physics will make the flame on your bic lighter burn up. so what you want to do is, munipulate the frame or tube so it situated perpindicular to the lighter. In other words, fire burn up, bike frame flat to fire. Hold the tip of the flame just under the tube, and wave it front to back. then flip the frame upsidedown to the spot u just did and do it again. you get an overlap of the smoke.Get it? Do one tube at a time, then the seat tube last. I string the frame up by the headtube so you can let go when you hand craps...LOL then clearcoat it. I clear it about 5 times then hold the can really close to give it a thick glossy finish. Be carefull not to overspray it so that it dosent run. P.S. dont touch the smoke before you clear it, it rubs off. Try it on an old frame to get the hang of it. To do the smoke only takes about 15 mins, just have to wait between clear coats. Any questions, feel free to PM me. Good Luck!
