NEEDED DESPERATE HELP FOR CHILDRENS BMX PROGRAM

Hello,

My name is Nick Ziegler and I am doing a BMX program in which we give new and Referbed bikes away to children who need them with Rick Moliterno of STANDARD BYKES. Below are some links of what we are doing for proof this is a legit deal. People have donated alot of big items, but we need small items. Paypal donations have stopped, and this is what keeps the build going.

We have bikes ranging from $50-$1200 to give away. I have stuff all over, but still needing parts to finish. Wheel sets, Cranks, Pedals, seat post (newer sizes). V brake sets.

I have some company backing from some places for a very good start. But my powder coat connections have ran out and We could use donations for pwoder coating. I have Wonderful frames all over, perfect shape, ugly color, or wore powder.

If this is something you would be interested in, please see the links below, We could use all the help we can get.

Thank you

Nick ziegler

Paypal donations can go to a100dork3@yahoo.com    you Will then be added to the list of sponsers.

i dont know how the whole give bikes away thing works, but it would seem you
could get far more stuff if you sold the higher end bikes and parts to finance
the lower end parts you need to finish more bikes.

i would think the name of the game would be to get the most kids riding.

and new parts are going to be hard to get donated. my son has never even owned a new bike
and ive only owned one.

The only problem with the above is companies have given these parts - selling the parts or whole bikes to be used for other parts of the charity muddies the water of what a company gave and how the item was used.

If you give some items, wouldn't you have a problem with seeing those items on a bike that is then for sale on E-bay?

maybe so.. like i said, i dont know how the give-a-bike-away thing works.
but i know a 1200 bike will get a whole bunch of 200 bikes that more kids
would be able to enjoy.

Re: NEEDED DESPERATE HELP FOR CHILDRENS BMX PROGRAM

The higher end race bikes exc.. will be given out all across the country with track directors help. The will tell me the kid and size, and i will send them what i have at random. The lower end stuff will be to local charities. I want to get kids into racing. Walmart bikes yes i could get more, but no one races them. I want kids to race, compete, and have a goal. The lower end bikes will be bikes for kids who have nothing local and just want a bike, and dont care about racing. All are being built for people on rough times. I also have freestyle and dirt..

GOT 2 STANDARDS DONATED TODAY. JUST FRAMES!!!

Re: NEEDED DESPERATE HELP FOR CHILDRENS BMX PROGRAM

I am all for your cause. if the track directors at rockford,il call's you i will personally take the 1st kid who's under 13 that qualifies to a bike shop of his choice in rockford,il  and buy him a bike that fits him with a 1000.00 spending limit.  if he is 13 or older he can start cutting grass to buy that high end bike like most of use.

I will donate the lawn mower, or snow shovel to get them started

Re: NEEDED DESPERATE HELP FOR CHILDRENS BMX PROGRAM

it would be awesome if you were setting up a junior team of amateur riders who cant afford this sport and sponsor them to compete , having a team on these bikes on the track would bring you a lot more recognition for your cause cool
