1996 Ruption LX
1996 Ruption LX
Chrome "Freestyle" frame
Nice example of a "mid-school" freestyler. All original survivor (apart from tyres maybe) I found at yet another local car boot sale. Its in very nice condition apart from the chrome plate on the cranks which has rubbed off in places. I have not even had to clean this bike, it is exactly how I found it.
Spec includes:
* Alex T6061 Aluminium Rims on Aluminium sealed Ruption branded hubs
* Oddessy 1" Gyro system.
* Tektro Barkes
* Mushroom style grips.
* Layback post
* Resin pedals
* Chrome plated Hi-Tensile steel frame, forks & bars.
I don't know very much about Ruption, but have seen a few later new school Ruptions around, and even owned a 2003 "Elevate" I picked up cheap second hand for a short time, but that was not a nice bike to ride as it was heavy & the bars had been cut down, so I sold it on. Ruption make after market parts such as wheels, stems, clamps etc, I have seen many online shops selling these on Ebay at reasonable prices, not sure if they still make complete bikes though.
Now Sold. I no longer own this bike.

Re: 1996 Ruption LX
Hi, thanks, It's made by Ruption, I had an '03 bike by the same company that i bought and then sold again a few months back. I don't know much about the company, and not too many Ruptions on here either. I know they still make some complete bikes and also some after market parts such as stems, clamps, wheels etc. too that are sold here in the UK. Mark

Re: 1996 Ruption LX
This is a nice Ruption
I recently picked up a Ruption Motion of eBay in need of a lil' TLC, which only dates back to '08 - And on Winstanleys BMX you can buy 2010 Ruptions, So im guessing they are still around.
