2009 Redline Flight Pro XXL
2009 Redline Flight Pro XXL
This is one of the best BMX bikes I ever have or ever will own. The Flight Pro XXL is the ultimate complete race ready bike for anyone with some height.
There comes a point at which you have to decide what are the best rides for the track, and it comes as no surprise that Redline and GT come out on top. The Redline Flight Pro XXL and GT Power Series Cruiser are it. I've owned a lot of good bikes as a So. Ca. kid and adult, and I even live in the city where Redline started, Chatsworth, Ca. My Redline Flight and Power Series GT are the top of the heap. The only thing changed was the braided silver cable for a white one.

Re: 2009 Redline Flight Pro XXL
One thing I love that Redlline did in 09 was put their classic logo on the head tube. It says 1974/2009, which is a nice touch. I wish they would have done something similar on the 2010, but they reverted back to a more generic RL for the head tube decal on the new ones.

The 2010's are so much nicer. They shrunk the seat tube down which squashed the whole frame geometry lower which made it handle so much better than the prior models made in the last 5 years, but I liked the 2009 graphics alot more.

Ive got the exact same bike. Love it. Ive put XTR cranks on mine to make it just under 21lbs.
Love you # plate. Is it a Redline item?
The headbadge is to mark there 35th year, so one day it may be collectable.
I may have to get a 2010 as well but I love the ride and look of this one.

When I went in to my local Redline dealer to special order a Redline number plate, I was pleased to see that the store had 3 number plates available. At first, I was going to get the common shape you see everywhere, but when I held up the triangular one to the bars, I instantly picked that one.
If anyone knows anything about that particular number plate, like which year it was issued, I'd like to know.
I'm sure it was made within the past 3 or 4 years.

That is one slick ride. Man - I like it as much as the classic Redline racers.
Thanks. Now that I've gotten a few months of riding it, and realizing it's advantage over most other bikes I've owned, I understand that the late model Redlines really are advanced bikes. As a kid, I loved old Redlines, but can easily say that the newest ones are really unbelievable. Anything I do on it feels easier than on any other bike I get on.
