2001 Ares Ashura

Popular Japanese flat bike from early 2000s.

This bike was found on ebay (frame only) in horrible visible condition. A trip to the powder coater took care of that. I had lived in Japan and rode an Ashura very similar to this one back in 2001. I wanted to rebuild that bike so I started to assemble parts. The frame, bars and stem are the same as what I rode, everything else is slightly different. Could not find an Ashura sticker pack, so a DITA pack had to suffice. Definitely not an accurate rebuild, but close enough for me.
• Ares Ashura frame
• Ares DITA fork
• Ares 88 bars
• Ares 88 stem
• Ares front pegs
• Odyssey Hazard front wheel with Odyssey hub, 36h
• Hombre brakes
• Slic front cable
• Snafu rear cables
• Odyssey 41 thermal cranks
• Terrible 1 sprocket
• KHE Platform pedals
• Primo rod seatpost
• Clamp and seat no name
• Snafu rear pegs
• Hoffman rear rim laced to Nankai freecoaster, 48h Freq Gs tires
