1978 JMC Standard Short
1978 JMC Standard Short
JMC surviver through the years.
This bike has had a rough life. I have come across it in its final years to see if I could revive it. It was broken and gussets welded to it and just overall beaten up. I straightened it, rewelded some parts back on it and gave it a paint job. The forks are from 1984, but they looked good on it, so there you have it. Through on some 1 1/8 wheels-Shimano Hubs, Araya Rims, Durace cranks, Custom BB, DY Bars, DiaComp Brakes, KKT Lightning Pedals, & a Haro Plate. All good for looking at. One of my few that Are just for show. Not going to take this one to the track.

Me and my 2 bros each had JMC racers in the late 70's. I think all 3 cracked at the bottom of the teardrop were it meets the head tube. Handled good and light as hell, but didn't hold-up. Awesome looking bike, glad you saved it.

sick bike do you know where to get orig powder colors
The colors were special blends that can be reproduced by some auto paint companies if you have a sample. But other than that, there is no color code for them. I'm lucky enough to have them on the shelf. Tommy
