Well...it could do with a fluted seat post and a gold MX seat clamp...but hey...where do you stop...Kashimax Aero seats are £199

Re: 1982 Kuwahara E.T.

Nice bike, great to see another ET.

Just to let you know, no ET ever had a Cromo frame at all. Both models of the ET Looptail were a Hightensile steel frame only with Cromo Tange forks.
The Apollo ET was mild steel.
Even the chrome version of the ET frame, which was called the KE-1 in 1982 (and called the KYZ after 1982) only had a Half Cromo Frame.

Re: 1982 Kuwahara E.T.

Yea I kinda give up on the same stuff for now too, but that would look great with a gold seatpost.

Re Kashimax seats, they are 199 Pounds if you buy them from Vertego they are about $120-$140 US in the real world if you wait.

Yeah... kids can be too crass. I grew up in Orange, Ca. Very few of these bikes were seen. Youd see them in the local bike store and they were selling but who was buying them was a mystery. I saw 2 ridden back then and only cause the rich kid had a few other great rides anyway and was just showing off.
Time has really given this model some knocks but now and approaching the 30th anniversary will bring out only the best in them.
Now these are rare in this condition. Frame and forks untouched (as far as restoring goes, some dropout savers are a must!!!). Originally the history on this bike is USA - Australia - United Kingdom where I now live. Padset is in storage and the bike is hanging on the wall with my other rides though we havent ridden this and I dont think I will.
I will send some other photos of her if you email an address.
Thanks for your comments bro

Re: 1982 Kuwahara E.T.

This is 31 flavors of pure awesomeness!! big_smile

I had an ET numberplate on my DB back in the 80's. Not sure what I did with it but I wish I kept it.  I didn't see to many Kuwaharas bitd but pads and numberplates were everywhere.

Absolutely sweet build bro, and a nice investment!
