This just shows those who don't know, I'm a collector at heart and don't powder, or pit/cruiser convert everything. My daughter now wants a pit version, but we won't be using this bike to make it. The beer was part of the awards given at the show.

Great find Chip.  I'm friends with 84master and I love his Pink Haro finds.  He has a PINK Master and SPORT!

I was contacting 84MASTER almost anually for several years trying to buy his frame set. He was kind enough to "loan" me the forks to get the color matched about 4 years ago. Until I got this bike, I had never actually seen an original pink frame in person. I have to imagine that of the two others left, at least one was put away like that Sport was. Hopefully someday it will surface. This one, and the other two found, have been rode hard. The lady that sold it told my friends she knew it was unique from her son who owned it. I can only wonder if he knows it was sold.

I think it would be really cool if another surfaces, but also remember that these bikes were owned by kids back in the day, and the idea of collecting bikes or them becoming special one day would have seemed very strange.  After all of these years, I would think if someone was intentionally keeping a pink Haro specifically as a collector piece, it would surely have surfaced on one of these message boards.  I guess time will tell.  Every time I look at mine, I'm amazed at how well preserved it is.  It literally looks NOS - the finish looks so smooth and new.  I've managed to talk to the original owner several times, and he told me the story about this bike and how he never rode it partly because of its color, and also because he was riding another bike at the time.  He said his mom loved the color pink, and she bought the bike to surprise him. LOL!

I would have loved to stay near it and talk to people all day, but the heat drained me in a minute, most of the day I just stayed planted in the shade only watching people shake thier heads at it. Of the people I did talk to about it, more then a few thought it was repainted pink back in the day or something because they never heard they were offered in pink. To my friends who are Hutch or other brand collectors, I tell them it's almost like finding an original candy green Trickstar. I've heard similar stories of those over the years.
I bought a set of NOS pink Sport decals from flannel Camel years ago, and Dan bought a set of Master decals from Earl a while back. We used both sets on repainted NOS frames after I got the color. That was as close as I ever got to owning one before.
I was told that a certain dealer known to have a lot of rare stuff actually had an NOS Master frame in pink, but the story was a bit mixed up at times, and it has not surfaced yet. I've chased many stories over the years, it was nice that this one just came to me.

I remember a kid riding a pink sport back in 86 or 87 in Strongsville Ohio in a drug store parking lot.  Until I became a member here I didn't know that they had any pink ones, I thought the kid had repainted it.
