1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
an unrestored original bike.....the day-glo is prob a 9 out of 10..
This thing is all original, the only thing i have done to it is add a 87 gt power series three piece crank, and some brand new white ame grips.....this thing even has the original gt chain on it....future plans are some high flanged superlace hubs and araya rims and i will be finished.... correction scored some Ukai rims with superlace seald high flanges they are beautiful. So all i need now is some SR pedals and this baby will be total O.G. Finally done my masterpiece is finished.
what the hell happened to bikes.........i feel like i am in the twilight zone and every new bike looks the same....

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
i think i am going to just change the wheels and tires and put the mags up....i have read that it is almost impossible to pull the sealded bearings off of a one piece crank......and i know the feeling about dayglo my original gt i had as a kid was electric blue 87, but i tell you this pink is growing on me especially since it is not all faded......

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
hey mike I think the dayglo pink is sweet especialy your is original thats the original color i had it powdercoated but powder turned out messed up so went w/purple cause i couldn't wait but my plan was to have it dayglo pink and black part now picture that color combo in your head it would've looked sick. I would repowder but because I already got eddies signature I'm not touching my bike anymore.
old school vintage collecting is an addiction!!!
my collection so far

you wouldn't by any chance be willing to part with those wheels, would you? They'd look great on my 88. ![]()

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team
Hey Thanks for commenting on my Performer (Team Model ) ![]()
but WOW... !!!!!
This bike is my dream!!!!!
I actually like it with all white parts but Black tires.
Just Like Martin Aparijo in the 1987 GT Catalog.. I used to bring that catalog with me everywhere and drool over that bike... and you have it.!!!
I have a DayGlo pink Pro Freestyle Tour Frame, Fork, Bars and Seat Post, and Power Seris Cranks..... so it's a project.. but my Paint is hurting.... I'd love to get these parts redone... but that Day Glo is so rare. I might just build it up with the paint blemishes. not sure.
Seeing yours is motivating to get started on that project though. ![]()
