Re: 1981 Torker L.P. Long
Thanks Jeff. Me, too.
It won't be as sick as any of yours, but it should be nice. Kinda like all my others—simple, clean, non-blingy, race bikes. The wheels are the crux of the build. The rims, really. All I have have issues. I've got a color combo in mind, but not sure how I'll distribute them, yet.
Mostly, I wanna ride the crap out of it. I just hope the Long rides the way I imagine it will. I've never ridden a long. Didn't even know there was one till last year.

Re: 1981 Torker L.P. Long
From age 13 - 16 I rode a Long 19" TT and it was cramped so I moved into the Pro-X in 1983. It's still going to be a fun ride:)

Re: 1981 Torker L.P. Long
Christian said the TT is 19.5". Nineteen, 19.5, anything over 19" is good for me.
I like my Robinson and it's 19.25". But I had to put a longer Tuf-Neck on instead of a DK, so maybe the Torker stem I had planned to use will be too short. Hope not.
Maybe Torker's relaxed seat angle will help.
Anyway, I think I'm at least a couple of shorter than you are.

Re: 1981 Torker L.P. Long
Got it today and threw it together. Some stuff will change. Not digging the color scheme. Wanted to do red and gold, but not sure it's what I had in mind. Maybe it's the pads. I'd run black, but I'm short the frame pad.
Also like to have a gold Torker stem, so if anyone has a gold to trade, lemme know. I have two black and would love to trade them both for gold.
Things that will change: Tires will be new, Yellow-lable Comp 3s at some point, need a black and yellow number plate and maybe that chainring. Just need to find a gold 45/46.
