Re: SOLID BIKE CO. thread-throw your Solid's up here!!!
Aaron is a real nice fellow. Though the welding is actually done by a friend of his in another shop. They inatially welded in-house though.
There was a video floating around the internet a few years back with a wharehouse tour of sorts.
As nice a guy he is though it might take him a bit longer to do something then he actually will tell you. This is atleast with my experience dealing with them. Says it is at one stage when really it is not at all. I've also heard this from other sources. I don't mean to turn this into me slamming solid bikes by any means. He ended up fixing whatever issue I had for the most part. And like I said, he is really easy to deal with.
As of now I've got the solid b1tch cranks and reel sprocket on my bike. My bike rolls so they do the job.
Edit: if you do purchase something from them, triple check the welds, and make sure they didn't send you a crooked part too!
I spent an hour trying to line up the cranks and then realized they where welded crooked.
They replaced them for free of course but it might have taken over a month and that was without having to send them to get repainted my original color.
I've got more tales from the crypt but we can leave it at that.
Good thing he is a nice guy.![]()

Re: SOLID BIKE CO. thread-throw your Solid's up here!!!
Not sure where you got your info from but the welding for the most part that I have seen is done right there in the shop unless it suddenly changed in the last 4-5 months. His shop is shared with someone who is one of the best race car fab guys I know of maybe that's the friend who you are thinking of?

That must be the case. When I talked to him he made it sound like it was in another part of town or something. I have not seen the shop but maybe that was to by him more time. ![]()

I have been waiting what seems like forever for him to get some more Roseanne Bars made. 9" X 32". sick bars for a tall dude like me! they have been out of stock for a long time. he told me it would be a couple more weeks about 2 months ago. I can't wait to get them finally.

Yeah I put a set of those on my Haro pit bike. It's almost as wide as it is long now...

no, not at all. I believe they are the biggest bars on the market. I'll probably cut mine down to 30" when I get them. 9" X 30" will be perfect for me. I know Eastern Bikes now makes a 9"X29" wonder years bar. if anyone knows of another company that makes bars this big, please let me know.
