Re: 1984 Diamondback Harry Leary Turbo

all DBs (and almost all BMX bikes for that matter) of this era were chromoly (or high tensile steel)

Nice bike in factory condition!

Was this bike made of Chromoly or Aluminum?  I thought aluminum.

Owner of a 1983/1984 Diamondback Harry Leary 'Turbo', Smoke Black, bike not all original however:
Frame, cranks and 44 sugino teeth ring, handlebars, fork, seat, rims, bearclaw pedals, sealed bottom bracket all original to my specimin.
2nd owner. St. Louis MO.  Photos hopefully now in the bike museum section. page #???

This particular one was full CrMo, some models had a mixture of CrMo/Steel

Re: 1984 Diamondback Harry Leary Turbo

I wanted one of these sooo bad back in 84

Having a bunch of nice bikes and not riding them is sort of like having a hott girlfriend and not banging her.....might be nice to look at but youre missing out on all the fun

Looking for : JW Pro stem,  Profile Pro or  DK Pro XL 1-1/8" Black stems  ( in New to Very Good Condition!!!!!)
