1987 General Fred Blood Pro

This is my 2009 Rockford show build. All parts used were either NOS or of show mounted quality. Nothing less.(more pics in comments)

Hey ultraHIVE, thanks for all ur time and effort spent on the decals. Simply the best!! Story behind the build, 2 legends that inspired it all (Woody Itson and Fred Blood) When I chose the General as my sole build I knew it would be more memorable then building up a T/S. So with the fbp as my sole build, I wanted nothing but the best and rare parts. Top of the line sort-a-speak. Woody flavor! Both riders were sponsored by ACS, so I immediately knew my theme.  At this point the decals were already in check, and I needed a paint to make them pop. I talked with Chip(c4labs) about a white powder and with pearl in it. Six Metal samples were sent and the winner was called "Hottest White", which has a red pearl in it. Amazing color. This color allowed the red from the unitrons to flow through the build. The forks were boring being all chrome. So I wanted the(86 sport)half painted look. To seperate the chrome and powder, freehanded gold pin stripes were added. And the rest is history. Literally!  Huge thanks to these members who helped contribute parts and their services to make this FBP a dream come true:  00_duck(frame),Protrax(fork),oldskHaro and Chris"riderippers"Campbell(builder's),Illmatic(bars, seatpost, seat, pedals, tires, radkaps),Relic(F brake),2RADD(R brake, grips, hubs, all polishing of parts xcept post),Hboost(seatclamp),Hudson(levers),80'sKID(cranks,seatpost decal),Pjbaz(stem),Canadascott(pro rotor),Jainbaby(spokes),Porkchopzz4(nips),Bensrz(hoops,grip donuts),JasonGT(brake pads),Xtremevert(doubler),UltraHive(all decals minus seatpost decal),Chip@C4labs(rechrome/powder,pin stripes and placing of decals minus bar and rotor, seatpost)

Awesome bike.  I don't usually like General's, but this bike is sick!  Great bike, the cranks are sweet.

Re: 1987 General Fred Blood Pro

Great build!  Freb Blood had a cool style too.  I lived in Joplin many years (college - 89-94).  I sold a red Haro FST to one of the local bike shops near Webb City for $50 bucks.  Now I could kick myself.  The bike looks fantastic.
