1988 Boss Pro Team Model
All original racing survivor.
This was my racing bike from '88-'90. I bought it new, pieced together from everything I wanted. I delivered a lot of newspapers, mowed a lot of lawns, and shoveled a lot of snow to pay for this baby. My only real regret is that I went for the Redline 401s over the Boss cranks in order to save myself some $40 or so.
For most of the last 18 years it's been sitting in one shed or another. Aside from the dry rotted tires, it's not in bad shape. There are a few little rust spots, but most came off with light polishing. I'm going to tackle them a bit more aggressively in short order.
I've already gotten some new pedals and grips (not on there yet), and I'm thinking I may even get some nice new chrome spokes and relace the rims (a couple of spokes are bent from a long ago crash where another rider's pedal got jammed in there).

Great ride. I'm working on an 86 survivor myself very similar to yours, but with the Boss cranks! Hoping to add it next week.

Love the boss! I raced a couple team models in the late 80's. You got some nice norcal bmx history right there ![]()
