2008 SE Racing Lil' Ripper

Note: March 2008 build, 2008 model.

This is a 2008 SE Racing "Lil Ripper" 16" pitbike. I added Skyway Tuff wheels and a front brake with NOS Tuff brake pads. Because the original SE  protection pads look very cheap (plastic) I bought some black Retro SE Racing protection pads. My son will get this nice bike in a few month on his next birthday (4). At the moment he is riding a chromed 12" Felt BMX bike.

Yes but the Tuffs are a bit more heavy than the original wheels.

I saw you also have the Lil´Ripper, good choice.

There is one thing I want to change: the bar

The SE Racing bar is realy heavy, much more heavy than my GT bar on one of my other bikes.
So I think I will change the bar.

Re: 2008 SE Racing Lil' Ripper

Update:

Changed to 16" Comp III Style black tires.

Changed "SE Racing heavy bar" to Ciari aluminium cruiser bar (cut 5 cm on each side).

Changed grips to black AME Mini Grips + end caps.

Another option is to add the frame/stem/bar SE pads.

Re: 2008 SE Racing Lil' Ripper

I think it is not heavy, frame material is aluminium, the new changed bar is also aluminium.
Ok the 16" tuffs are more heavy than the original wheels but alltogehter maybe around or less than 10 kg.
