1977 Jammin Jimmy Weinert Stadium 1

This bike was purchased from the Weinert Family

I bought this bike from Jimmys Daughter (spoke to him on the phone) It was original Orange I restored it to. This was built to replicate a Jimmy Weinert I saw in a  Laguna Bmx Catalog. It has tange Tx 500 forks box bars Clear Oakley Type grips Ashtabula stem and cranks, 3 arrows sprocket KKT MX pedals Quilted seat steel post and clamp, Femco Rims with Shimano front and rear MX coaster hub. Chen Shin 183 tires and box bars.

that is a dam nice restoration you did .  the orange really sets it off to ( probably why the original was that color big_smile ) . i have never seen one of these before , is it made by laguna ? you mentioned it being in a laguna cat.

This bike is a bit before my time, but it is KILLER.  The detail you have put into this bike is sick.

Great bike Steve.

This is the coolest bike I've seen on this site yet. "Vintage" starts with this bike!

Re: 1977 Jammin Jimmy Weinert Stadium 1

I had one of these, when I was a kid.  My dad bought for me from my neighbor for something like $125.  I took it apart and my dad had the frame and forks chromed.  I fixed it up with a bunch of cherry parts.  I think I only had it for maybe a year and then it got stolen in San Dimas, CA at "the waterfalls" (by the freeway).  My neighbor told me there were only like 10 of them ever made, but maybe that wasn't at all accurate.  The kid across the street also had one.  I think he may have also told me the company was bought by Torker (??), hence the split top bar on the Torkers.  The Torkers were very similar, other than the "W" on the frame, and that the Weinert's frame a cooler, more raked back geometry.

Re: 1977 Jammin Jimmy Weinert Stadium 1

Mario, I'm going to guess that quite a few more than ten of these were made. I have one as well, and know of two others.

Re: 1977 Jammin Jimmy Weinert Stadium 1

Such a badass bike. yikes

Jamming' Jimmy has a Motorcycle MX training facility toward the coast in NC about an hour from my house. I go by there a lot. I need to stop one day.

I love this bike! cool
