Wow! Great start to a build. There is just something really cool about Hutchins frames.

Nice....I just purchased a Hutchins Judge 2. Im new to all this...now...um I had a Pro Star back in 85/86 when I was much younger as well as  a DB and RL and Goose...of course the Hutch was always my favorite!  Im not all up to date on lingo etc. Im not sure what vintage my Hutchins is. It has serial number with the Jap baseball. The TT measures 19.5. Im doing a rebuild on this new frame... do-n the "red an blue" to match the decals...I'll have pics posted soon. I really need/ want the matching forks...your lucky. Good luck on yours and maybe we can compare em down the road. Although it looks like u have a real nice start

No Pro Star...got ripped off about a year after I got it. My moms friends son was a factory racer and he built it for me out of spare parts...it was oh so sweet! Like I said Im new to this but i want to make it a full time hobby...after I get the Hutchins built I already know I want to build all my old bikes. The ProStar, The RedLine, the 83 DB Viper 2nd gen,and the Mongoose Cali. My son is really into it with me and I think he wants to race...we will see where it goes. Im traveling right now but I will be back this weekend to take pics and post it into the Museum. Ive bought all my "first draft parts" except the headset...whatching evil bay. I just cant do a slow build like you cause Im sooo excited. My plan is to replace the lower end parts with more high end parts so it will go from a rider to a show. Im not sure on the guidlines for any of this...just learning as I go. I have gathered that in some circles its ok to use NEW vs. NOS, then others stay with NOS only. Keep posting your progress, like I said we can compair em. Hutchins frames and the decals are so cool cause there isnt that many out there and they represent a mile stone in BMX history. Thanks guys, I was thinking about those exact hubs actually!  But im leaning towards polished bodies with blue flanges or candy blue new generation Hutch hubs (when they eventually come out)

For cranks it would be hard to do better than unstamped Profiles.....They were sold as Hutchins for a bit.

Also, can you tell me if your forks are raked at all?  The BMXplus!  test article says no rake although mine are slightly raked.  Not as much as a pro racers forks.  Mine are nos so I know theyre not bent

what cranks your running on there?  I like the decals with the H and stars.  Do you have any more pics of that bike?  The only one ive got is in black and white, id like to see the pads too.  Id like to get some made if possible
