1984 Hutch Trick Star

One sweet survivor.

FINALLY.... got my Trickstar. After a long wait.. alot of promises.. out bids and heartbreaks. I Finally got her. An 84 Trickstar. Was originally bought in NY, was given to the 2nd owner for his son. Luckly for me the son didn't like it so it was put into storage. It sat there for 12 years. Finally the guy cleaned out his storage and put her on craigslist, were I the 3rd owner found her and fell in love. She's a great survivor. Just needs some tlc and some good ol 80's color. I stripper her down and cleaned and polished the frame, forks and bars. Looks a 100 times better already. She's in the process of getting a make over. I started making the new decals, and already been collecting parts. Some green Tuff II's w/ green tires (one perigrine w/ green sidewalls. looking for a match or fresh pair.) green post, green headset and tricktop seat. She had Hutch racer bars so im looking for a set of ladder bars. I have a NOS set of green skyways for now. Also has a exellent condition pro neck stem. This will have to stay for now but I plan on getting the Hutch western H stem. The first pic is the day after I bought her 6-14-09. The second pic is her stripped down polished and the first decals applied. The 2 decals on the seat tube are the original ones. Just too damn mint to remove. She is a build in progress so I will post some new pics as I get them. Really excited about this one!!

Dude,

   She looks Sweeeeeeeet...

One question though, were they the OG decals you took off?  They dont look so bad, maybe you should stayed "survivor" with them? (its only OG once, and anyone can repop a decal pack)   Just my two pennies.

    Looking good bro!

Re: 1984 Hutch Trick Star

yes they were the og decals and believe me removing them was one of the hardest decisions ive had to make. i did try cleaning her up with them on but they just werent good enough for how great the chrome came out. they were ruff and i want this baby perfect. i dont ever plan on selling her... taking her with me into the afterlife. gonna flatland the clouds with jesus and the crew. lol

Re: 1984 Hutch Trick Star

ty, i do think that every day i look at her. just wish i had the rest of the stuff to build her. its killing me to not be riding her. but i want her built my way. just gonna keep the orig parts in a box. but i waited this long i guess a few more months wont kill me. although it feels like it.
