these guys have tons of bikes to review. being they are volunteering their personal time do this give them a few weeks just out of courtesy.

I say since it's no longer in the museum it must have been deleted. I would repost it. Besure the first picture is a clear side view of the complete bike.

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

the problem was because i was editing my own images to reduce the total size. the new software the museum now uses must now do it for you. i was cropping 12mp 5mb pics so i could meet what use to be the old pic size requirements.

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

Hello, I recently added a bike that went in to "Needs Work" section. I read the rules and no where does it mention which way a bike needs to face. I look through the site and find bikes pointing in either direction yet mine has been submitted for "bike facing the wrong way in the first pic". anyone care to chime in? maybe I missed something?

I was told by a mod that with the older pics of previous submissions from members who are no longer here, they are leaving some of those older pics alone(those facing the wrong way).
Where any new submissions, those are being requested to show in the 1st pic the drive side.
I had to change a bunch that were facing the "wrong way", but 1 or 2 I don't have built anymore.

Hope this helps, JG.

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

I already resubmitted with a pic of the drivers side, I suggest that if they want it that way then they should add that to the submission form directions that way it will save them work in having to re look over submissions. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it smile

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

I accidentally put my pics in the wrong order, so had one of my bikes marked 'needs work' because pic #1 wasn't a pic of my bike on its own
I changed the order round and hit 'save' but still being flagged as needs work - do I need to do anything or just wait?

No rush on my part, just want to make sure I haven't missed something

cheers

griff

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

I GOT A QUESTION I HAVE TRIED TO POST NEARLY 40 PICS OF MY WHITE 1984 DIAMONDBACK VIPER AND KEEP GETTING THE RESPONSE PICS ARE TOO DARK TRY TAKING THEM OUTSIDE.  I REFUSE TO TAKE PICS OF THE OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE (FOR SECURITY REASONS)  AND THE SPOT I USUALLY TAKE PICS AT IS AROUND A 5 MILE RIDE (EACH WAY) MOSTLY DIRT TRAILS.  SEEING AS HOW THE BIKE HAS THE ORIGINAL WHITE IRC FREESTLYE TIRES, I HAVE NOT NOR WILL I EVER RIDE ON DIRT TRAILS WITH THEM.  SOME MY OTHER BIKES HAVE MUCH LESS VISABLE PICTURES HOW ARE THESE PICS TOO DARK?

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

You should also create a "This Bike Sucks" status and clean house a bit... Some of the bikes in here, I tell ya, are SAD!

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

trying to add my 88 master to the museum.. the thing im being told that i need work on is that the first picture is of the bike facing the wrong way.. im confused because the bike is facing the right way, its just a frame anyways so whats the big deal anyhow? i see hundreds of bikes on here where the first picture is the opposite side of the bike! hmm hmm

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

I submitted 2 bikes, that I was sure of the years on.I also posted serial numbers. When the bikes were posted, the years were edited.Did the mod go to the serial numbers and find that I was wrong about the years, and change it? BTW , I love this site, big thanks to the people who run it.

Yes. If the year was changed when the bike was submitted then you had the wrong year.

Re: New "Needs Work" Status For Bikes

I've also had my latest bike put into "needs work" status.  I fixed the picture, saved and currently waiting for the bike to be approved.  I know the mods are busy so it's not a problem.  Just curious, could you add a "Resubmit" button once the bike is put in "needs work" status.  Once the resubmit button is clicked it would change the status around the picture so at least the user knows it is pending for mods to reevaluate.  Just a suggestion.big_smile

I used to do all of the bike approvals every day. I also went through the needs work bikes every day. But now they have a bunch of different mods doing it with no real direction or training. There is no organization and it seems like they don`t seem to even care about what they are approving. Your bike could be in needs work indefinitely. neutral
