1984 Hutch XL24  (custom Trickstar 24")

Winner of the "Peoples choice" award at the 2009 OS show

This started life as a XL 24. I bought the frame with a damaged down tube. Thats when I turned it over to "Sanddad" (Dustin Dumas). He then procceded to cut the down tube out, then he fabbed a new tube and smaller bracing. As well as the upper and lower frame standers. All the frame standers were made a little larger than what you would find on a 20" Trick Star. That way it all looks perportionate to the larger frame.By using a cruiser frame, all the geometery is correct and all the frame demensions are correct. And it doesnt look "long" and it rides SWEET! The frok was Schwinn. Dustin cut the old drops off and fabbed the new Hutch style drops and fork standers. The bars are Knight Bikes. 24" ACS Z wheels, Hucth stem and seat clamp. Trick top seat,Dia compe brakes.Profile repo cranks This was a killer build. I gotta give mad props to Dustin (sanddad) Dumas. Without his insane fab skills this bike would of never happend.

Well deserved award and mad props to sanddad.  I saw this bare frame at the May 9th BBQ/Ride and I knew it was going to be killer.  Instant FAV, yikes

I saw that bike at the show and it was one of my favorites too.   It's hard to go wrong with candy red, white, and black.   I'll bet a lot of guys are looking for trick top seats for their bikes now!

And good job displaying it up high and on a corner.  It gave the bike more exposure.  cool
