1983 Bandito Pro

Very few found in this absolute STUNNING CONDITION!

I acquired this bike at a local state race event, I saw it in staging, asked if it was available, & struck a deal w/ da rider's parents. I ended up trading da bike for a brand new 2009 race bike still in da box.
Da unique aspect of this bike is that you can play w/ head tube angles & bottom bracket heights. Da bike is pretty much complete with da exception of changing da tires, grips, seat (same 1 that was existing), brakes, & cages. I took it completely a part, re-greased everything, took a part da wheels, steel wooled EACH & EVERY spoke, re-laced & trued them. I ran da number "26" because since 1983 this bike has been around da race circuit, & finally in 2009, 26 years later, I've retired her.

Re: 1983 Bandito Pro

I think I vaguely remember seeing an ad for these back in the day... or somehow I knew they existed. Could you please post clear photos of the mechanism by which the (da) BB and HT are adjustable? I'm really curious. Maybe post a link here to bigger pics since the museum pics are so small. Either way, thanks, and very nice bike, and unique. You did a good thing to pick it up and retire it!

WTB: Nothing, unless it's a real cheap local survivor score!

Re: 1983 Bandito Pro

Huh... okay... that's interesting with the dual dropout slots. It's not what I expected. Thanks for the great pics! I wouldn't be surprised if I never see another one of these. Take good care of her!

Yes, Bandito handlebars were basically CW bars with an extra square tube added for strength.

G, what is the serial# on your Bandito?

FYI...here's some great info on Bandito and CW:
