PIC HEAVY ****SCORE SCORE SCORE****
WOW! Tripped up on this " 1 season exposure to the elements " 1988 DYNO DETOUR SURVIVOR!
All original parts. and not even the drops have been touched, like the pegs were screwed on, and never moved again. Odyssey 2000's front and rear, Dyno pegs front and rear. This bike is in real good condition for its age. Mags are in PRISTINE CONDITION! NO FADING! Just a quick wipedown, and these bad boys came to BRAND NEW! Even the lettering is not faded or damaged, which tells me this bike spent most of it's life INDOORS!
It looks like during it's moving around days, she took some wear and tear. No dents, dings, or rewelds. All original paint and decals. Even came with the lock on the seatpost. Tires seen better days. It needs: A good re-grease, cleanup of rusted bolts/nuts, new tires/tubes, and new cables, and brake pads. Everything else is usable and able to be restored! THIS DYNO MAY BE GOING UP FOR SALE REAL SOON. SEEKING HITS ON WHETHER TO KEEP COMPLETE OR PART OUT. That is the only thing keeping me from listing this up in the for sale section. That and I haven't thoroughly cleaned the parts yet. I will get to that later, if it lasts that long.

My kid seen me taking pics, and wanted in on the action! Just turned 4, and weighs 70 lbs, and is over half my height! He's gonna kill at football...

Then at the same time, I ended up with this one too. I am putting it in the reference section for help identifying the year on it, but it is an obvious, spray bomb disaster of a Dyno NSX. Rear rim spins straight, needs regrease, and slight bend in front. Brake cable and tires-tubes are all OG but shot, bearings in desperation of treatment. A little more weathered than the detour, but NO RUST on frame? No dents, dings, or rewelds. I Like the Forks! I think I may be keeping them.

What tripped me out, is both of these bikes are all OG. except the custom paint job on the NSX. And I could tell by the shape of the mags, grips, and cap on the potts mod bolt on the 88 that it didn't spend much time outside, so out came the loot to pay the owner of the bike... I had to have it when I seen it. But then... My wife, the gestapo. Oh NO! I am in the doghouse now, but oh well.... It was worth it!
Let me know what you think.... It was a spur of the moment, impulse buy. I knew if I couldn't keep it, one of you guys would. It will make a great complete, or complete someone else's build. Or maybe i'll keep her and do a quick survivor rider restore........

Re: PIC HEAVY ****SCORE SCORE SCORE****
And LOL I know on the 88, the decals are in the wrong spot. Must have been done by the bike shop back in '88. Those kids musta been stoned...... They must have wondered what it would look like, and they sold it!
I have the serial #'s if requested. PM me for details.

number on the frame might be when it was made, one on sticker might be when it was assembled? seen this before and never figured it out.

Re: PIC HEAVY ****SCORE SCORE SCORE****
I know, no brake rub, bearings are clean and run smooth, no fading, letter screening is MINT. No cracks or edge gouges. Almost NOS if you ask me. It looks like they were just bought in 88. Odd how they were on this bike so long and look so good....
I will let you know, just seeking a little input from the museum right now.
Thanks!

I'd be interested in the pretzel bars if they are not bent, dented, cracked or cut down...

I am kinda liking your 84 pro performer, showboat booter.......
hint hint....
I am hearing the pretzel bar request. All OG, no cracks, no cut down. Just a little wear and tear, scratch and surface. Fully restorable.
I always liked these bars since they were kind along at the ends.... Ahhhhhhhhh the 87-88 era....
