1985 Diamondback Viper

I bought this bike BRAND NEW back in 1985. It was my first, and only, "good" bmx bike. It's mostly original. the only changes are: 1) tires (many times) 2) rear pegs added 3) grips (many times) 4) reflectors removed 5) seat post & clamp 6) pedals (many times) 7) chain gaurd removed 8) added GT EPOCH headset 9) "super viper" decals added. (long story) but here is the funny part....it still has the original dia compe brake pads!! i never ever had to change them. it was a running joke with my buddies because i was such a little fella i never wore them out! LOL! thanx for looking! D

Re: 1985 Diamondback Viper

got it out and rode it again last week. It's amazing how comfortable I feel on this bike even after all these years! Now I'm just affraid I'm gonna bend the seatpost. (I'm about 65 pounds heavier than when i got the bike!) But even if i bend the post...it's just a generic no-name cro-mo. worth the risk! (maybe I should swap it onto my general befor it gets bent!!!)
