Nos haro diet sport. Not really sure exactly what year, so I looked in the bmxmuseum until I found it.

That is a clean frameset! I really like that year, I had yellow one with mags in 90. I know the "Diet" was discussed on Vintage. Cool one off.

i thought the earlier one's had the peg mounts in the forks and drop outs?? i think this is more likely a later one, 1994 possibly?? whatever the year that is one sweet bike!!!

This is a later one 94-94-96, I believe.
Dan's offered these in the mid 90's (96-97) for $50. 00 a piece, F&F.

They s-canned the axle bosses on the forks and dropouts because if you had a foot bigger than a size 6 your feet hit the pegs on the pedals. Not to mention, they stripped, bent and broke fairly easily.
I don't think the first black 90 sports had the bosses. In 91, they definitely did have the bosses. By '93 they were gone.

Your right FU.The 1990 sports didn't have the bosses.I'm probably wrong,but I thought they only came in black that year cuz it was a prototype Haro made for Matt Hoffman when he was on their team.I bought one via mailorder in '90 then got stole a year later.It's know my Holy Grail...

I remember BITD, kinda being skeptical of the whole bashguard thing. All the bikes, at first, just looked stupid. The first GT aggressor looked really bad and IMO the 89 master wasn't much better.
But when I saw that black prototype sport Mat Hoffman was riding, I was smitten. I really like the lines on these sports and air masters. However I don't think I done more than 10 sprocket grinds in my life. I liked them better because when I would inadvertently disaster my bike on the coping the sprocket and chain wouldn't break.

That's the whole mystery that I have been trying to find out, nobody can say or have a pic of another one. If I post the serial # does anyone think that they can pin point the year?I don't really care if the bike cost 50 or 500 dollars back then or what it is worth now I just think it is different and really cool. I was suprised how light it is to be so beefy.

Um i think it was just haro being cheeky. Diet sprite/diet sport.
FYI I don't have a pic, but have one sitting in my basement. I thought mine was a 93 but now think it's a 94.
