1979  Raleigh Rampar R11 XL

f/f was purchased from bridgecity (many thanks). Check his original post and the bikes previous incarnation.
Main changes to how the bike looks were chosen due to the recommendations in the December 79 issue of Bicycle motocross action. The concensus was that a few changes needed to be made to make the bike race ready.
I chose colours i was happy with and was quite pleased at how it turned out. Hope you like it.

AWESOME to see you across the pond.  This bike could be a bike of the year in the US.

Re: 1979 Raleigh Rampar R11 XL

The pics were taken at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire Uk. The place is the home of the anual raleigh bmx show. I only finished the bike the morning before the show and took the pics the morning after.
This was the oldest bike there as raleigh didn't start doing bmx in the UK until 1982. The rampar's are sort of looked upon as the forefather of raleigh bmx uk so are quite respected over here.
