1986 GT Team Series

100% Survivor, bought 1986 and nothing changed !(i added the pads)

1986 the first owner of this bike, crashed with his cheap bmx when the fork breaks. His parents bougth him a new bmx, a better one, this GT Team Series.
After ordering it it took 3 weeks till he had it in his hands. He rode it 2 years and then it never comes out of the basement.
2009 he sold the bike to me.
Parts:
1986 GT Team Series f/f
Ukai Rims on SR Hubs stamped 84
GT Tyres front 2.00 and rear 1.75
DC 890 rear break and Tech 3 Lever
SR Stem, Seatclamp, Crank, Chainring and Pedals
GT Handlebar and Seatpost
GT Ariake Seat
Ame Grips
Izumi Chain
Pads are from my 85 Performer, but they fit this bike perfect.
Enjoy and dont forget to look at my other bikes wink

Probably a G6C4809... march of 86 frame and fork...somebody back in the day had 84 team series bike kit and rebuilt and re stickered this 86 frame with every part from the 84.....probably came from a bike shop clearing out old or unused stock, could have been a warranty frame.....hard to classify this bike since there was no 86 team series...But I wouldnt change a thing on it, its a perfect example of the 84 team series...

Re: 1986 GT Team Series

Hard to find out, i only know that the first owner have to wait 3 weeks when his bike shop ordered the bike. I dont know if the shop orders overseas or here in germany... He told me the most scratches at the Framesticker came with the bike when he got it from the shop.

Re: 1986 GT Team Series

When I bought my 85 Pro Series in 1985 here in Germany, I had to wait about 3 months till the ship arrived from Taiwan. The Stickers had the same style as yours. I changed them two times for 86 and 87 style-stickers. In 86 they looked like "hand-written". I never heard of a GT Team Series before i came on this site. I remember a interceptor, Mach one and Pro series.
