1982 National Pro Long
NP 1982 long...was NOS before assembly
I need a seat post clamp.! Also need 2 mathauser brake pads, and a race plate. I will use New Hutch pedals and repop pads are on the way. Anyone have a clamp?????? NOS 1982 Long frame and forks. Warranty card still attached. Wow! Dated 1282581 I absolutely love the geometry of this frame. As close to a VDC as I will ever get.....LOL
Parts List:
National Pro long frame and forks . Acquired this set up as NOS with the warranty card attached. I decided to build this one . There are still a few left for someones trophy case.
: Hutch Pro size bars, Oakley B1b's, Tuf neck Pro model stem, Tange 125LP Headset, MX 990 front and MX1000 rear Dia Comp brakes, Araya 7X's with Tioga Blue/green label tyres(I am running 1.50's front & back, can you tell?), Rad Caps, Bullseye Hubs And Cranks, Tuf Neck Chainwheel, Kashimax aero seat, NP straight nseat post.....and dropout savers......
Everything on this bike was NOS NIP NIB etc........before assembly on one of my bikes..lol
What you dont see: Repop NP pad set(3 piece), Hutch Pro size pedals 2009 new releases, some sort of seat post clamp, and a race plate, and brake pads for rear
One day I would LOVE to switch out the Hutch bars for some NP Pro size bars. Right? One day, One day

Thanks. I need to complete this bike!!!!!!!!!! ![]()
Its siting behind me in my computer room and I look at it every day saying this needs to be completed!!!!!
What I need is Pro Neck 4130 chromo post( it can be straight or even lay back) dont want a snake post! I have a post but its a mini. My buddy Alex Vesa, those of you who know him came by right before Rockford and we thought he gad one for me but tiurned out it was a mini too. When I say mini, most of you know, its not thick enough....meant for the mini frames or PK ripper style seat post holes. I need regular size post and I have no idea what that size is but you pros do ![]()
Also, I now need some pads. I know , get ready to spend some big bucks right? All three and prefer Blue and near mint condition
Anyone? I prolly should become a pro member and put on wanted section but thought I would give this a try

Re: 1982 National Pro Long
is it my imagination or did you use a stem stiffner on your cranks?

yes a beautiful bike!....looking at the cranks and the "extension" of the spindle it looks a bit strange...whats going on?
Those are spacers that Steven (bullseyecycleco) uses for his old crank set ups. Completely new BB setup. Not the OG ones. I prolly should have spaced one more on the drive side , but was worried about chain hitting frame. The spindle was actually too long but its a 2 piece crank so you cant really do anything with the spindle. Well, I could hack, saw, or whatever you do to it to make it shorter and one day may do that. Right now, I am not worrying with it much. Trying to get finished with school and still going thru what has become a nasty divorce
........it still needs a post(right size) or maybe a shim(don't want to do that), some mint pads(good luck on that one , huh), and some pedals. May go with JDB's (they will be around for a while) I had a set of "the last known Hutch pedal case" set, but had to sell them. Kinda wish I still had em....oh well
Explain it? Hope so, cause that's the best I know how ![]()

VERY nice bike!!!
I like the mix of parts. and those bullseye cranks are a great center piece for the build.

Thanks, i have always loved the way the bullseye cranks looked. I am sure they would break if I just pedaled the bike though ![]()
