1980 Schwinn Sting
They're still out there.
Pulled this up from the basement of an old Schwinn dealer. He could care less about bmx. He has probably 30 old 26" bikes on display around his showroom floor. Last time I was in, I noticed a '79 MCS hanging on the wall. He custom built it in '79, and had just purchased it back from the family who had it since day one. He then tells me "I have a Sting downstairs for sale." After drag racing to the ATM to pull out some cash, this is what I came home with.

WOW nice score , i know what you mean about the old timers that own bike shops . My Buddy Dion and i always try and stop by this old Dudes shop and try to catch a glimps behind a curtain where he has a lot of old bikes but hes not too friendly and turns the lights off .

That same old guy tried to offer me $25.00 for a disk brake Apple Krate that I used to own. He totally tried to low ball me on that one............. ten years later, I feel that I got over on him. I almost got it for $100.00, but had to settle for his original offer of $200.00. As I was rounding up the cash, he got on Egay, and realized what he'd sold........... his employees were chuckling at him when I got back with the funds.
