1978 Mongoose Motomag (AKA Old Geezer)
1978 Mongoose Motomag (AKA Old Geezer)
This was made the same year I was born so it makes it a special build
I got this from an awesome member here. I slowly got parts for it. And even more slowly put it together. I painted it myself It makes it more unique that way. I added my own little halsencrew touches and I think it turned out great. The member I got it from is amazed at the transformation and I hope you all like it as much as we do.
BMX ROCKS THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS
I am grateful for all the help and this has been fun

Top rebuild. May I suggest you lose the crank arms, seat pole and maybe the chain and swap tham for era correct items. Remember, this is only a suggestion. If you want this bike to look like it came out of a time warp, then this is what you should do! Check out some of my 'Gooses, and you will know what I mean.

Bad ass, looks like one of my first! like the AM parts! Thats how our bikes were back then, even if the parts weren't better or lighter, you stuck em on to "be cool"! I stuck my yellow skyways in the freezer tryin to get the wobble out, LOL I was such a dumb child!![]()
Your not Bad unless your BILLYBAD! If its not a Rat, Its not a Rod!

Very nice... I'm working on a Blue & Yellow Team Goose that I hope to have done soon. I'm debating if I want yellow, blue or black Comp III's with the yellow tuffs. The black looks good on yours.

If the tuffs are yellow dont run yellow tires do the blue or black.

dude, how do you get your paint to look that good? 5 hours ago i started painting my 87 dyno detour with DUPLI-COLOR SELF ETCHING PRIMER, and then i let it sit on the cinder blocks in my barn, im probobly going to let it cure for 3 or 4 days, then spray it with white COLORLINE enamal. i just wanted advice on the final paint because i havnt done that yet. ![]()
I REALLY NEED TO SELL MY 1987 DYNO DETOUR F/F, AND MY 1986 DIAMONDBACK VIPER. PM ME IF YOU'RE INTRESTED.
