1979 Redline MX-II
Saved this 79 MXII as it was about to be taken to the dump. Has a terrible Black paint Job.
Saved this 79 MXII as it was about to be taken to the dump. Has a terrible Black paint Job. After a quick clean I could see that bike use to be Blue. The Tuffs are Blue, I have already started cleaning them. It also has a Brute Stem and original Vbars. All I need to find is Brakes, Tires and a new seat. a bit of rechroming and a trip to the painter to bring her back to her original glory.
I am not doing this bike up for Showing but instead it will be used by my 3 kids when they get a little older. A bike like this needs to be used.
Update.
OK so far 8 hours cleaning and servicing the rear Tuff. about 6 doing the front. Santed back the frame and it now has a new coat of Blue ( not original color) All the chrome has been cleaned up. the pedal replaced. New Brakes (MX1000 copies), Just fixing up the Brute stem and also recieved my MXII stickers from BMX Museum. Next weekend she should all be back together.
All Done. (for now) I am happy with how it turned out.
