Re: 1982 Kuwahara E.T.
Remember when I PMd you asking how you removed the lightning bolts from your seat and I said I was going to use Nitro-Mors on mine. Well I did it and it removed the bolts in seconds - I put some Nitro-mors on a cotton wool bud and rubbed it over the bolt. Quick as a flash, the bolt turned to mush, and I rubbed that gloop straight off before it could do any damage. I rinsed the seat and rubbed it over with some polish to make sure all the stripper was removed and couldn't cause any damage.
I'm a big fan of this bike, what OPC crank are you using on it. I see a lot with Sugino stamped cranks on them but pukka survivors have those ropey old Sugino forged cranks on them. I'm having a forged Sugino crank rechromed by Butts to use on mine to make it 'factory correct' but I prefer the look of the later smooth Sugino cranks

Thanks for the positive comment. I did get a real buzz putting this together. I had looked at both spec rundowns for both versions that came out at the time and the actual magazine publicity shot was slightly different to both. I tried to get it looking as close to the old magazine picture as i could.

ET ET ET I'm addicted, I have 4 now, they are sooo cool.
Electro808 ref Remember when I PMd you asking how you removed the lightning bolts from your seat.
If you want your ET to be original, they never had Elina Lightning bolts with the Lightningbolts removed.
They were a completely different run of seats, used different molds all together.
I have a copy of the Kuwahara Factory Build sheets for 1982 at home with studio photo's of every Kuwahara from 1982 as well as a complete component list if you need to know any components just ask. It lists all 3 ET models and every component on them.
Sweet bike glynnboy.
They were very similar to the ET elina seat with ET written on them but again different to them as well.
I can't take a pic at the moment, ask some of the others with survivors and you'll see they are different molds to the Elina Lightning bolt seats.
