1999 Robinson SST

1999 Robinson beater I got for $60, and transformed it into what you see.  The chrome is 99% condition.

I bought this for $60, completely dirty, with bent wheels and junky parts.   I cleaned the frame, and an old buddy of mine who raced for Robinson gave me his NOS Team decals....rarely seen.
This was going to be more of a fun project bike, not a racer, so I went with a combo I'd always wanted on chrome.....red/black w/Skyways.  edit - now has the ano red wheelset from a 2009 PK Ripper looptail.   Dig it more now!
Frame, forks, bars, stem, headset, and crankset is all original.   I added the wheels, Tektro brakes, seat/post/clamp, grips, Beartraps etc.

Re: 1999 Robinson SST

I just updated the picture, since my M&D Raceday plates came in.

It's not the ABA number I was given, 137, which I have on the Intense.
I just use 57 on show bikes.   Not exactly a JT Racing plate, which it's a copy of, but it looks cool, me thinks.  cool

Re: 1999 Robinson SST

Scored a new anodized red high flange wheelset from a guy with a new SE PK ripper in white/red.

I moved the black Skyways to my Hutch Wind Styler (check out that bike now).

The bike is a little lighter now, and more of a true race bike.   I will always know that the 90's Robinsons are some of the best designed cro moly frames ever.   This bike has a feel that is just about as close to perfect as it gets.   Robinsons are the best kept secret in BMX.  Absolutely great feeling bikes!
