2001 On-One Gimp 26

Extension of one's self...

This bike made me feel like a kid again. Imagine your first real BMX bike. It felt rather big, but you felt like you were king of the world...you could go anywhere. The bike was your freedom. Now imagine being 20 years older and 16" taller. The old 20"s don't feel the same. Now enter the 26" BMX. I feel as if I sit inside the bike instead of on top of it. The thrill I had when younger has come back. Mountain bikes are fine, but there's something honest about a bike that feels like one solid piece instead of a jumbled collection of deraileurs, sprockets, and gear shifters that never seem to work just right. The bike is the extension of one's self. And The Gimp is the perfect extension of me. Frame: On-One: The Gimp (raw) Fork: Surly Karate Monkey (29er, black) Bars: Gusset Prison Bars (raw) Cranks: XS Tires: Maxxis Holy Roller 26x2.4

Re: 2001 On-One Gimp 26

This just has mechanical disc brakes.  I like that I can actually work on them on the fly if necessary.  I don't usually carry brake fluid in my back pocket....or do I?
