Re: 1999 Huffy

That might be the Enigma,  primus 20" had the funky head tube where the bottom cup was inside.  The Enigma had the same built in tensioners also.

Re: 1999 Huffy

Looks like my "Delirium"........It's 7005 also.
I've read descriptions of those having the built-in axle adjusters although mine does not.
It does have the same rear dropouts though,The Primus and Enigma were different.

Re: 1999 Huffy

Delirium.. but would like to know if it had welded cable guides or holes for feeding the cable through the frame.
Most of the Delirium's I've seen have integrated chain tensioners and have welded on cable guides

Re: 1999 Huffy

if I recall correctly this frame has the cable routed through the top tube.... i remember having a hard time locating the black cable guides that press into the frame.

Re: 1999 Huffy

No, it is an enigma. Only the enigma if that vintage came with built in red anodized chain tensioners. Like I said, I owned one. It was also a 21" top tube, the delirium was a fair bit shorter. You can do a rough measurement to confirm.

Most definitely not an Enigma. The enigma has a fat and thick rear end.

Re: 1999 Huffy

You're thinking of the later model Enigmas that were yellow/blue.  This is the previous and first model year Enigma to come out around '97.  They then re-used this frame for the later model Deliriums that were painted blue/green.  I think this is source of confusion.  People seem to not know Huffy came out with their high end line before the two tone models came out around '98/'99.

First model Enigmas like this one, which I used to own, came polished from the factory. They came with those red anodized chain tensioners which quickly faded to a lovely (joking) pink color, as can be seen here. Most people removed the decals from them and I've yet to find a picture of this frame with the original decals which were white with blue and red outlining that said "Enigma".  smile
